Brief History

The Port Harcourt branch of A.C.M.G.S Elelenwo Old Girls Association started with two members chief Dr. Constance M. S. Saronwiyo (Protem president) lady Hannah Aguma (nee Nwanodi) (Protem Secretary). They spurred other ex-students of the school, in and around Port Harcourt to join the Association. The Association was inaugurated on 13th April 1973 with Mrs Letita pepple (nee Toby) (a pioneer Old girls) as the 1st branch president with 13 members in attendance.

The national A.C.M.G.S Elelenwo Old Girls Association was inaugurated on Friday 5th December 1980 by a motion moved by Dr. (Mrs.) Josephine Ebele Maduewesi (nee Nwokolo) now Prof E.J Maduewesi which was unanimously accepted. 59 Old girls attended from the pioneer branches of Aba, Enugu, Lagos, Nsukka, Owerri and Port Harcourt.

Now the Association has grown to 10 branches – Aba, Calabar, Enugu, Lagos, Nsukka, Onitsha, Owerri, Port Harcourt and Umuahia.
